Welcome to the class website for students at JSC taking classes in Technical Theater.
Dibden Center for the Arts is somewhat unique in terms of how it is managed. Students have full responsibility for the performing arts center and all of the related activities that take place here. Stagecraft is intended to introduce you to the possibilities, infrastructure and culture of the center. Theater Labs give you the opportunity to immerse yourself and follow your interests into various disciplines within technical theater. Introduction to Lighting and Scene Design exposes you to the role of the designer and allows the learner the chance to be creative in a collaborative, productivity based, learning environment. Members of the Dibden Learning Community emerge as self directed, life long learners, understanding what it means to be professional and able to document and verify their unique competencies and skills.
